Let’s tell SIG Sauer NO MORE!
New Hampshire communities deserve transparency about the military partnerships and overseas weapons relationships carried out in their name.

SIG Sauer, headquartered in Newington, New Hampshire, has a history of government contracts for supplying weapons to foreign countries. More recently, they have partnered with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) on the Fire Storm 250, an armed quadcopter that pairs an Israeli-developed aircraft platform with SIG Sauer’s remotely operated M250 machine gun.
We are calling for:
- Full public disclosure of SIG Sauer’s military partnerships with Israeli firms and military customers.
- Clear answers about the Fire Storm 250’s intended customers, testing, export pathway, and operational uses.
- Public opposition by New Hampshire elected officials and institutions to local corporate involvement in weapons systems connected to mass civilian harm.
- Sustained community organizing to ensure that war-profiteering carries political and reputational consequences.
- Investment in work that sustains communities—housing, education, healthcare, public infrastructure, and climate resilience—rather than armed systems designed for remote warfare.

Bike ride will be approximately 25 miles starting at Community Church of Durham, through the UNH campus, then onto Dover, NH, Eliot and Kittery, Maine and ending in Portsmouth, NH for the standout and sign holding.

Weapons Sales to Israel
In July 2025, the U.S. Army Contracting Command awarded SIG Sauer a Foreign Military Sales contract worth about $95.25 million on Israel’s behalf. Coverage identified MCX rifles, LMG 7.62 machine guns, MMG 338 machine guns, suppressors, spare parts, tools, and related equipment among the contract items.

Weapons Sales to Mexico
On March 25, 2015, the Department of State notified Congress of a Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) license agreement for Sig Sauer, Inc. to sell “the manufacture of Sig Sauer rifles and pistols and refurbishment of existing inventories” for the Mexican military and federal and state police forces.

A New Hampshire Gunmaker Is Helping Build an Armed Drone
The partnership
SIG Sauer and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) are developing the Fire Storm 250 armed unmanned aircraft system. Reporting describes it as a tactical, long-endurance quadcopter program aimed at U.S. and international defense customers.
Israeli platform
The aircraft is based on the APUS 60 platform associated with IAI and Israeli drone company Aerotor. It uses internal-combustion propulsion rather than a conventional battery-only drone design.
SIG Sauer’s role
SIG Sauer supplies a Micro Remote-Controlled Weapon System and its M250 multicaliber light machine gun. The weapon system is stabilized and designed for airborne firing.
Aerial firepower
The system can carry up to 200 rounds of ammunition, including 7.62×51 mm ammunition in the described configuration.
Persistence and targeting
The Fire Storm 250 is designed to remain airborne for up to three hours. Reporting also describes optical and infrared sensors, target-recognition/tracking functions, and a stated targeting range of roughly 15 miles—or about 25 km—depending on conditions.
Status
SIG Sauer and IAI have described the aircraft as a developing system. Flight testing is expected to take place before the end of the year, rather than as a confirmed operational deployment.
The Fire Storm 250 is more than an overseas defense-industry announcement: it connects a New Hampshire-based company to the development of an armed aerial system with the sole intent of killing people, including children and innocent civilians.
The project is a clear example of how weapons production, military technology, and foreign military relationships can be rooted in local communities while their effects are felt elsewhere. The Fire Storm 250 is designed not simply to observe from the air, but to combine surveillance, targeting, and machine-gun fire in one reusable package.
Demand transparency from SIG Sauer
Ask SIG Sauer and New Hampshire leaders to answer:
- What is SIG Sauer’s exact role in the Fire Storm 250 program?
- Who will be allowed to purchase, test, export, or deploy this armed drone?
- What agreements does SIG Sauer have with IAI, Aerotor, Israeli military entities, or other foreign military customers?
- What safeguards, if any, prevent the system from contributing to violations of international humanitarian law?
- Why should New Hampshire communities accept their state’s association with a company developing a machine-gun-equipped drone?
